Cottage Bye the Sea Pallet Wine Rack

Are you short on storage? Would you love to have a wine rack but you have limited counter space or storage space? I found this Cottage Bye the Sea Pallet Wine Rack that is super adorable. I love the up-cycling of the pallet wood and it's useful purpose. It looks as if it could hold up to eight standard size wine bottles. Measuring 12"h X 38"W this is the perfect size for an apartment to hang in your dining room, kitchen or even above your homemade bar station.

Other useful purposes with the shell motif is to use it as a shelf in your bathroom. With limited storage space in some apartments or old homes. You could use it as a caddy shelf to put hairsprays, gels, make-up, blow dryer, or even your flat iron. With the beach theme on the wine rack with the shells, this would be perfect to use for a beach house.  Could you use it as a wine rack? Where would use it? Share your ideas!

Recycled Drum Bench

This Recycled Drum Bench is an awesome fun piece of  furniture that would be great on a covered deck or patio. The seller Rachel Spire says that this is s cozy, functional, recycled work of art. These benches are made of upcycled 55 gallon drums lined with recycled bike tubes. The seat and base are fabricated from recycled wood from a deck, the drink holder is made from bike chain rings balanced by a bike pedal. I love the bench's unique design, totally classic.

This would be a welcoming seat for your deck or patio. I would like to one on my deck. Maybe you have a game room or a man cave that you could add this awesome fun bench too. This is definitely a conversation piece, anyone who comes to your home is going to want to sit on it, ask about it, and probably want one of their own. If red is not your color, no worries, the seller will custom create one in the color of your choice. Check out more of Rachel Spire's creations!

Add Sheer Curtains to Your Outdoor Patio

Is it just me that has grilling, warm nights and patio parties on the brain? It's safe to say that Spring is full on it's way, and I couldn't be more excited. With that I have been thinking about my outdoor space and what projects I will have lined up for this upcoming Spring. I plan to get my herb garden underway, add some bright colored potted plants to the deck, and add sheer curtains to my outdoor patio.

This Winter I have done nothing but watch HGTV, brainstorm projects to do when it's warm out, and pinning away on gardening ideas on my Pin boards. Since I'm working on a tight budget for my outdoor space I plan on doing many DIY projects including these ....

DIY tiki torch wine bottles that look pretty and keep the mosquitoes away.
easy DIY tiki torches for keeping mosquitoes away. follow the tutorial here.
teacup and vase bird feeders

add sheer curtains for a romantic, beach feel (easy & inexpensive!)

Garden Radiance ''Dancing Flames'' Outdoor Heatere

Wow, can you say that this is amazing?! I have been searching for an outdoor heater for our deck for some time now. I have found some rally inexpensive ones, but nothing that says style like this Garden Radiance "Dancing Flames" Outdoor Heater. As a family we love to hang out outside on our deck in the summer time. We all know that the weather does not always cooperate and it will be too windy to have a bonfire {we have a fire pit in the middle of our yard, exposing it to wind from all directions}.

By having the Garden Radiance "Dancing Flames" Outdoor Heater on our deck that is protected from the wind, we are still able to sit outside on our patio furniture and enjoy our company and the nights sky filled with stars. The traditional patio heaters only heat the area above your head, leaving the rest of your body still cold. The mesmerizing column of flames will produce warmth across the entire length of the heater, keeping the heat it produces closer to you while you are sitting. This beautiful heater gives off a beautiful glow. This is perfect for enjoying the cool summer nights with friends, Do you have an area that you could use this beautiful heater?

Sling Book Shelf

Stepping away from tradition I found this Sling Book Shelf that could easily become the new home for your books and magazines. I have been looking into these sling book shelves for awhile now and finally found some inexpensive ones that will work perfect for the kids room as well as in the living room. Every since my kids were born I have been reading to them, as they got older and started reading on there own the love for books has grown!

All three of my kids have big book shelves in there rooms, the books are constantly spilling out and onto the floor. Hence my reasoning for looking for these awesome sling book shelves. This sling book shelf is great for a kids room, its easy to put books away when books aren't falling out at you. This book sling would also work great for magazine and adult books too. The books and magazines will still stay organized and neat and take up less space. I have seen these used in doctors and dentist offices. They really are fun and functional.

How to Decorate With Collage Frames

As of lately my home has some pretty boring and my white walls have nothing hanging on them. After recently renovating our family room I am deciding between wall decor that looks best with the shape of the room. I would like to showcase my children's art, hang family photos and unique art pieces I have collected over the years. I usually don't care much for collage frames but I'm noticing how cute they can be after visiting some showrooms.

One thing I love is rustic looking wood pieces that have character whether that be furniture, pictures frames or art pieces. I also recently dug up some old black and white photos from my Mom's house that I would love to have out on display. I figured since the photos are so small that I would align them in a way that would be cute in a collage frame. I've got my eye on the one below! What do you think? Rustic wood and black and white photos sounds like a fabulous idea to me. Now to fill up the rest of the walls!

Retro Diner Bar Stool

Do you have a bar or island in your home and need some seating? I have been looking for some fun bar stools for our three kids to sit on up at our island and found these fun Retro Diner Bar Stools. The kitchen in our home is the center of  our house, we all love to hang out there and talk, do home work, visit with friends, and enjoy family meals together. When time is crunched and the kids are the only ones eating they prefer to eat at the island.

There is something "Big Kid" like about sitting on a bar stool for my kids. Ever since they were small both of my boys have been huge climbers and have always loved to climb up on things and I would always find them on the counter with no chair in sight. I would come home from our local Hy-Vee grocery store with our groceries and they loved to sit on the counters and pull all the groceries out of the bags, this was their way of helping. These fun retro red diner bar stools will look great in my kitchen and the kids will love being on them eating their breakfast up at the island bar in our kitchen.

Murphy & Panel Beds, Space Saving

Murphy & Panel Beds are a great way to have extra sleep space and not loose the floor space. The Murphy bed is a great true space saver. The Murphy Beds are spring loaded, allowing for a single hand operation. The support legs will extend and retract automatically. The Murphy bed's vertical storage mattress is supported by a foundation that provides additional support to the mattress. The Murphy bed is perfect for apartments, allowing you to have extra sleep space without taking up a lot of room.

The panel bed will maximize your space offering you a clutter free style. The panel beds have the panel door feature that will drop down with the bed and will  disappear under the mattress. The optional bed side cabinets are easy accessible. Both styles of the two bed styles are great space savers, and the the units look great when the beds are flipped up and tucked away. There are several different styles to consider. If your child is going away to college there is a perfect bed for their dorm room. Don't forget the bedding for your beds that can be found here at  Bed Bath & Beyond.

Add a pop of color with an area rug!

We are currently remodeling our main living level of our home, and currently our walls in our living room are a tan color. While we are under construction in part of the main floor I decided that our living room a pop of color until I am able to paint it. Area rugs are a great way to add a pop of color with out spending a lot of money and without painting the whole room.

Area room rugs are a great way to add a little color to your living space. Area rugs will come in all shapes and colors, can be used in any room of the home. We have hard wood floors throughout most of our home, and we have added an area rugs for color. Area rugs are great because they give you a little carpet look without covering the whole floor, and when you have old amazing hard wood floors, we don't want to cover them completely. For more pop of color, try adding color to your curtains and blinds. We found some great fun colors and prints at IKEA.

Vintage Zinc French Laundry Bucket

We currently are remodeling our bathroom and I found this Vintage Zinc French Laundry Bucket. I love the old farm house style with the big thick rope for handles. I would use this in several different rooms of our home. Filling this French Laundry Bucket with rolled up bath towels is great if you don't have storage space. For uses in the living room you could fill it extra blankets and pillows. You could also fill the bucket with books and magazines as well.

If you are looking to use it for actual laundry, I feel that is a great idea as long as you are putting clean laundry in it. The wet laundry might wreck the bucket. I love the French Laundry Bucket, taking the clean laundry right out of the dryer and folding the clothes, you can easily take the clothes to put them away in the bucket. I currently use plastic buckets like this for the kids dirty laundry, but I would upgrade to this Vintage Zinc French Laundry Basket because I absolutely love the look of the bucket. There are really endless uses for this Laundry Bucket, What are some of your idea? I would love to hear them!

Movie Room Popcorn Machine

We love movies in my house, and we often have a movie night at least once a week with the family. Gathering in our living room with pillows and blankets is one of my families favorite ways to spend time together. We are prescribed to Netflix so we have the convenience of movies at the touch of a button through our TV and Internet. We usually have to buy our popcorn in bulk from Sam's Club because we go through so much popcorn in one week.

This Premiere Popcorn Machine would be a fun family investment. We have the perfect spot in our living room for this counter top model that has a lighted cabinet with tempered glass panels. The four ounce kettle produces 85 quarts of popcorn an hour, I am not sure that we will be popping that much popcorn. This popcorn machine isn't just for movie night, use if for Birthday Parties, sleep overs, and bake sales at church. The kids and I think that this is a great family gift!! Where would you put the popcorn machine? Do you have a theatre or movie room in your home?

Vintage Retro 60's Basset Chest of Drawers

Black and White has to be my favorite colors. Yes....I know what you are thinking, they aren't really colors. However, if you have this Vintage Retro 60's Chest of Drawers in your living or dining room with a beautiful red decorative bowl sitting on top. Adding a pop of color on top of something of black and white color is a good way to make things stand out.

This would be perfect in a dining room area or even in the living room space. Do you like to entertain? Why not try using it as a mini bar/drink station. If you aren't a big drinker, maybe try using it as a coffee bar. This is a great piece of furniture and great conversation starter. Atlas Bench Black

I absolutely love this Atlas Bench in Black Leather. Thinking in my dreams, I would love to have the space at the end of my bed to have this bench. Creating a space at the end of your bed for this bench is going to be a must. I always sit at the end of my bed on the side and get dressed, putting socks and shoes on.

This is very sleek and luxurious. Now if you had a huge designer walk in closet this would be the perfect accessory. I can see this decorating a posh New York apartment, with the city skyline in view. This is an amazing piece of furniture that I would love to have in my home. It has a little high class yet full of retro vibes.   Where would you add this Atlas Bench in your home? Living room? Dining room, maybe even a study?

Burgundy Vinyl Retro Chair

Sleek, Masculine, and Very Stylish are just a few words that I would use to describe this Burgundy Vinyl Retro Chair. Add a little swanky style to any space in your home with this amazing chair with sleek curves in a warm burgundy vinyl retro styled chair. The burgundy is a bold hue that will add warmth and texture to you office, living room or bedroom.

This chair would also look great in a study because of its natural masculinity. The curved back that is suspended above the seat really speaks volumes to the chair's seriously retro styling. Providing comfort that makes everyone who sits in it feel instantly at home. This durable vinyl replicates leather for less and will perk up the energy in any room. Where would you add this chair to make it your own work of art?
