Green Chevron Floor Pillow

I love to have additional seating when we have friends or family over. Storing chairs or having big lay-z-boys isn't always convenient either. Handmade Antique Wooden Shutters

This pair of Handmade Antique Wooden Shutters that come out of an old church/school room. The building was a church in the 1800's and then became a one room school house in early 1900's. These are the original weathered green wooden shutters. The Antique Wooden Shutters measure 77 1/8 x 175/8 x 1 5/8. They are absolutely beautiful and well made. Shutters are a great decoration to add to your living space, and can be used strictly for decoration or multiple other purposes.

I love the idea of creating a head board to a bed with these wooden shutters. I also have seen them used to hold pictures and cards during the holidays. Vintage Knickerbocker National Washboard

Growing up my mom had antiques all over our house, including a washboard like this Vintage Knickerbocker National Washboard. My mother had one of these vintage washboards in each of out bathrooms. She used them strictly for decorations. I swore as a child that I would never collect antiques, stating to my mother "I cannot believe that you like this junk". Now an adult myself, I am collecting antiques! Thanks Mom!

About ten years ago I started taking care of my husbands grandmother, at the time she was in her late 80's. She had an old farm house in South Dakota chalked full of antiques. She passed away a year ago in January, my father in law went out to South Dakota and collected some of her antiques for me. One of which was a glass washboard. I now have it displayed in my home. I never knew I could become such an antique lover. I am hooked!

Antique Camera Collection

I may have a small obsession with old antique cameras, like this Antique Camera Collection I found. I love it. It all started long ago as a child and my grandmother had a couple old cameras sitting around for us to play with. Now I think why the heck she would ever let us do that.

Vintage Industrial Wood Letterpress

So I have been checking this Vintage Industrial Wood Letterpress piece out for awhile now. As an avid crafter and crocheter I would love this piece of furniture in my craft room. I could easily store all of my yarn {ok I lied, I could store one quarter of all of my yarn on this Vintage Wood Letterpress.

Vintage wood letterpress furniture cabinet painted industrial grey on outside, bare wood on inside. It is 2 feet 7 inches tall , 9 1/2" wide and 10" deep at the base, at the top it is 3/4" deep. There are seven columns and eight rows of compartments.The columns are 1/2", 5/8", 3/4", 7/8", 1", 1 3/8" and 1 3/4" wide. All the rows are 3 1/2" tall. The rows are 1 3/4", 2 1/2", 3 1/4", 4", 5", 6 1/2", 8 1/2" and 10" deep going top to bottom. This makes for great craft storage.

Industrial Bottle Lamp - Steampunk Fixture

This Industrial Bottle Lamp is constructed from American-made black iron piping. The vintage bottle is firmly secured by custom rubber gaskets that grasp the bottle without causing damage. A low wattage bulb is used to illuminate the vintage amber bottle producing a warm ambient light, great next to your office desk or study area. A rotating faucet handle serves as a switch to turn the light on and off, how cleaver! Power is supplied by a retro style cloth covered lamp cord and plug.

The featured bottle in this picture dates between 1890 - 1905 and is very heavy duty with ornate embossing (Don't make them like this anymore!) This a Phoenix Brewery bottle from Buffalo NY and it dates back to before the prohibition. The amber glass is very heavy and makes the bulb look like a burning flame. I love the history behind this unique lamp.

Larkin Furniture Spindle Rocker

I fell in love with this Larkin Furniture Spindle Rocker because of the history behind it. This is a beautiful, rare Larkin Spindle Rocker. It was made in the USA by the Larkin Soap Company in the 1920's. This was not an item that they would sell, instead they used it as a give away item for the General Stores that sold the most soap.

Even with some wear this rocker is still beautiful. The arms are made out of veneer wood and the back and seat are made out of a plywood type of wood, but the spindles are made out of solid wood. Typically, these chairs were thought to not be very well made, since they were largely given away for free, or at a very low cost with the purchase of Larkin's soap, but this one has proven that theory wrong. Made in the 1920's and still rocking, it must be very strong. This would be great in the living room or even in a nursery.
